Mickey Dolenz and Me

I just signed up to sing with Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees Fame.  That's right on April 26th at Roosters I will be singing with Mickey Dolenz.

I don't know if I get to pick the song or he picks it for me.  There are some songs I do better than others.  And I hope that I can get someone to tape it for me.

And he mentioned that there was infidelity in his marriage and that people choose to stay or leave for different reasons. But when you look at their marriage and when his wife got MS, he stayed around. When his wife got breast cancer, he stayed around. I have other friends who tell me they understand how I feel. They will say things like ...

Just Show Up

I saw this article and thought it was so appropriate and interesting about what we all go though with a loss. At first it the hugs and the condolences then it's silence. I had so little contact with people before my mother passed, now the crickets aren't even showing up. If you know some one who has lost someone, read this article. I personally don't know what you can do for me, there are no job assignments I can give you.  But if you showed up and listened to me crap all over the world, and understand it isn't personal...that would be the biggest help in the world.
