Jiminy Cricket has screwed me for life.

Image
Yeah, that guy. Mr. Cricket was  appointed by the  Blue Fairy  (known in the book as  The Fairy with Turquoise Hair ) to serve as Pinocchio's official  conscience .  Some of us have one, some do not. I am beginning to believe that I am one of the few left with Jiminy Cricket sitting on my shoulder.   In this age of Social Media we are becoming less social, less connected to one another.  We feel less responsible for the actions of those around us. 2018 a New Year

As I continued to battle depression I have come to realize that my new life needs to start today. I can't wait until the house closes. I need to start working on it today. And he mentioned that there was infidelity in his marriage and that people choose to stay or leave for different reasons. But when you look at their marriage and when his wife got MS, he stayed around. When his wife got breast cancer, he stayed around. I have other friends who tell me they understand how I feel. They will say things like ...

Just Show Up

I saw this article and thought it was so appropriate and interesting about what we all go though with a loss. At first it the hugs and the condolences then it's silence. I had so little contact with people before my mother passed, now the crickets aren't even showing up. If you know some one who has lost someone, read this article. I personally don't know what you can do for me, there are no job assignments I can give you.  But if you showed up and listened to me crap all over the world, and understand it isn't personal...that would be the biggest help in the world.
