Update

there are several fronts I want to update you on.  The first is that my friend that was on his last leg has passed. I'm sure you read in the wall that newspapers about Ray Pfeiffer's passing. Ray and I went to high school together graduated the same year. His life and mine have been affected by 9/11. He was a firefighter who contracted cancer due to the asbestos in the World Trade Center building.  I, on the other hand, was affected mentally. Although 9/11 didn't cause my depression, it did trigger its onset.

My mental afflictions grew in this household. The house I am now home and I am selling. I will be so happy when all of this is gone from my life.

Yeah, that guy. Mr. Cricket was  appointed by the  Blue Fairy  (known in the book as  The Fairy with Turquoise Hair ) to serve as Pinocchio's official  conscience .  Some of us have one, some do not. 2018 a New Year

As I continued to battle depression I have come to realize that my new life needs to start today. I can't wait until the house closes. I need to start working on it today. I've come to realize that my choices in the past have not always been the best. My choice of wife is first on my life list. Ilene was the person I married. I chose her with the thought of a lifelong commitment. I chose her with the thought of, till death do us part, and in sickness and health. My EX thought the "in sickness and in health" part, didn't apply to her. When I got sick, she left. I had this discussion with a friend of ours a few years ago. And he mentioned that there was infidelity in his marriage and that people choose to stay or leave for different reasons. But when you look at their marriage and when his wife got MS, he stayed around. When his wife got breast cancer, he stayed around. I have other friends who tell me they understand how I feel. Just Show Up

I saw this article and thought it was so appropriate and interesting about what we all go though with a loss. At first it the hugs and the condolences then it's silence. I had so little contact with people before my mother passed, now the crickets aren't even showing up. If you know some one who has lost someone, read this article.
